What is a Firewall?
A firewall is a device that prevents unauthorized network connections to our servers. It allows
us to specifically allow only the connections we want (web, email, etc.) while blocking the
traffic we don’t (hacking, viruses, etc.)
RIS’ Firewalls
RIS has multiple firewalls all working independently and together to protect and secure our
network. If one firewall were to fail, the others would pick up the slack. This setup allows
RIS to provide excellent performance and outstanding reliability with its network.
